A While Back

Found this photo that I took of a few bargains I found when I first started this process. I did very good this day. I found the Ling Doll that speaks Mandarin, New in Box, for $5. A Ralph Lauren Dress for $1, and 4 little headbands for $2. Gotta love those bargains!

One of my best friends, Nancy, got an email from her sister-in-law asking if I wanted any little girl clothes. I've only met Karen once and I thought it was so sweet of her to think of me. And of course, I would love clothes!!! She sent me a whole bag of them. Here is my favorite little outfit. The flower are just too cute. Thanks Karen!!

Yardsale 6/24/06

Okay, you guess it...I found more movies. The Disney movies were $1 and the others were only 25 ¢. Thanks Sheri for the ¢ symbol. I love it! I almost have all the movies. I just found out a friend has some that she wants to give to me, YEAH!!!

I picked up three little toys too. Two of them are little people. I love little people because of Sonya Lee. Anyway the first is a pink SUV with a mommy and baby ($1) plus room for another passenger. It makes noise too. Then I got Sonya Lee Farmer girl ($1). Then I found one of those scooters? Is that what they are called? Anyway, just as the other too toys were, it was in mint condition. It had a mermaid theme ($2) and has all different kinds of sounds and storage under the seat.

Yard Sale 6/19/06

Ok, this chair isn't a yardsale find but I got it on sale for $9.99 at Hechts. I thought it would go perfectly under Giorgia's Enchanted Tree.

It was a very,very good weekend. I only did a couple of sales close to home and it was just beautiful here where I live. Anyway, as some of you know, I am obsessed with Disney Movies (and others) for Giorgia. My mission is to find all of them but only spend $1 or $2 dollars per Video and the clamshell containers must be "like new". I figure it'll be too hard to find on DVD. But if I can find them on DVD for $3 or $4 dollars, I will go DVD. So, with that being said, my first yardsale was a "moving" sale. Look what I found. She was asking $3 per DVD but I ended up getting them for $2 each cause I bought 9. The way I see it, I can get the entire Disney Collection for what some parents spend on 4 or 5 new DVD's.

DVD's are Sinbad, Mulan, Prince of Egypt, Hunchback of NotreDame II, PeterPan, Lilo & Stitch, The Little Mermaid II, Lion KingII: Simba's Pride, Thornberries. (only 8 shown) I also got these VHS for $1 each, El Dorado (not Disney) and Mulan. Can I tell you how excited I was to find these.

Found some cute little shirts. Drama Queen was 50cents and the shirt with dragonflies was 25cents.

Not so Frugal but Still a GOOD DEAL

Not so Frugal but Still a GOOD DEAL...yup, that's right. I just couldn't resist. I thought this was just so dreamy. I found them at www.hearthsong.com . They have some really cute stuff there, check it out. I bought a different fairy doll, one with dark hair. I think she was called the "Rose Fairy". I just can't wait til it comes in.

Quick FYI

This is just a quick note. Yes, I am gathering lots of stuff but NO, Giorgia is not going to be coming home to a house FULL of clothes and toys. All of the dolls that I have on Giorgia's main blog, except 2, have boxed up for future gifts. I honestly believe that my time and finances will be limited to ALL her NEEDs and some WANTS. So, while I am working two jobs, I am trying gather a few fun things for the future. This way, I hope to spend more quality time with her!

Yardsale 6/10/06

I found Pocahontas ($2) and Jasmine ($2) to go with the VHS tapes ($ 1each). I love the barbies they are just the cutest! I found this little pink dress in 18 months for 50 cents. (Does anyone know the symbol for cents...I can't find it!) Anyway, what you can't see about the dress is that underneath there is a little bit of netting to make the dress poof out. I think I am going to change the flower and get a really neat silk flower to pin on. I am not crazy about the one that is on there.

I got some more Disney Movies for my collection. It's getting quite large. It makes me so happy. Two of the biggest reasons I have for creating this video library is that I just love the Disney movies and I think they are great for kids and also, I am contemplating going to just BASIC CABLE. Just contemplating. It seems every month my rate goes up by $3. Oops, I forgot...happy stuff... Okay I got Tarzan($2), Anastasia (.25), Bambi ($1), Emperor's New Groove DVD (.75) Then I got all five of the Amazing Animals for a total of $1. Yipee!!

I love these books (.50 each) and I have a feeling that they might be coming in handy. I love all of those book that help "mommy" to convince their little ones to do something that they usually don't want to do!!! :)
